CRAIG GERHARD
LMT, CPFT, CPE, BBA

For the past sixteen years I have been on a dedicated path of self-discovery that has created more happiness, freedom and understanding of the human condition.  My philosophy is to empower others to take complete charge of their lives through integrative bodywork, fitness, and nutrition.  We all carry limiting thought patterns that were developed early on by hurtful messages which manifest pain, tension, disease, and make self care difficult.  With my passion, experience, and training, I am here to support each client fully in eliminating these false core beliefs so that life is meaningful and fun!

I enjoy backpacking and camping, yoga, juicing, parenting (and being a good ally to young people everywhere), and traveling.

KERRY SMITH
LMT
Natural health and healing has been a part of my psyche since birth.  I grew up playing on my grandfather's chiropractic equipment and drinking his stinky potions, unaware that what he was doing was considered "alternative" medicine at the time.  The healing hand beckoned and guided me to Nia in 2001, where I found pure bliss and knew I had to share through teaching.  I also find great joy in massaging, doing reiki, and daring clients to taste stinky foods (cultured veggies!)

I see you in your highest light, creating an intention for you that's as unique as you are.  Through creative movement, purposeful touch and cultured foods - you sparkle like the star you are.
On my off days I can be spotted healing and hula hooping at the HeeBeeGeeBee Healers at Burningman, sword fighting at Aikido, dancing wildly at Ecstatic Dance and singing to veggies at the Central City Co-Op, quite possibly at the same time!

CYT, Forrest Yoga

My deep intention is to support beings in realizing wholeness and healing, by virtue of yoga and meditation practice.  To that end, I have spent much of my life formally studying yoga, psychology, Zen, philosophy, music, and science.  Through Forrest Yoga, I encourage practitioners to examine every movement and sensation of body, emotion, breath, speech, and mind, from a position of ever-developing lovingkindness and bravery.  It is my experience that this powerful practice, tempered with great care, does enable us to walk with Compassion, Integrity, Grace, and Power, as befits our truest nature.  In this way, together, we act to 'Mend the Hoop of the People'.   Go Deeper.

Emery Lauten Meadows

Emery has practiced several different forms of yoga over the past seven years. Yet it wasn’t until she tried vinyasa yoga that she felt that “Aha!” sensation and knew that this was the style of yoga she would like to integrate into her daily life for increased physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Emery is now a certified vinyasa yoga instructor through the yoga teacher training program at Joy Yoga Center where she is currently completing her teaching internship requirements. Emery brings more than twenty years of dance training, seven years as a professional massage therapist and ten years study of holistic healing techniques to her yoga teaching and practice. Because she has learned to heal from injury and illness through yoga and other complimentary and alternative practices, Emery hopes to inspire others on their healing path. Emery looks forward to a lifetime of learning and growing through her yoga practice and hopes that you will join her in sharing the power and beauty of vinyasa yoga. ~ Namaste

Jeanell Innerarity
Therapeutic Hatha Yoga
I have been practicing yoga since 2000 and am certified by  M.T. and Roberto's Yoga Therapy College to teach Classical Hatha Yoga in a gentle yet challenging therapeutic style. A practitioner of  Vipassana meditation with a background in Tai Chi, Kung Fu, massage therapy, group dynamics, and improvisational dance, I relate my practice of hatha yoga to a wide array of experience in the study of the mind-body connection. My classes are open to people of all levels of experience and physical ability and I teach that all poses can be modified to suit one's current level of ability. I am also passionate about sustainability and local agriculture. I have a degree in Environmental Studies and is certified in Ecovillage and Permaculture Design, and I believe that, just as a garden must be tended in order to yield an abundant harvest, so yoga practice should be grounded in its ability to yield benefits in everyday life.

Ma Nithya Daivi

Family Yoga
I am a certified early childhood and special education educator who discovered yoga in 1995, studying with Robert Boustany in Houston. Combining my love for children and love for yoga with her pedagogical skills, I began teaching Kid Yoga in 1999 with my 3-year-old daughter Amora (who still practices!) I teach kids, ages three and up, at varies local yoga studios, schools and privates homes around Houston. I offer private yoga therapy to children with special needs including Down's syndrome, cerebral palsy, asthma, diabetes, ADHD and anxiety disorder. My students learn breathing practices, asana, focus and relaxation - exploring yoga postures through playful connections to animals and the natural world. Kid Yoga is dynamic, jumping, imaginative, musical, empowering, self-developing, and fun. Children enjoy the seemingly simplistic poses creating a path for their strength, energy and awareness and ultimately, release and freedom.
